The latest version of Newfies-Dialer, 2.10 brings both Appointment Reminders and SMS support to Newfies-Dialer.
Newfies-Dialer is free and open source SMS and auto-dialing software for mass voice and SMS broadcasting and appointment reminders.
Newfies-Dialer is designed to make thousands or even millions of calls to contacts, but one of the limitations was that it was difficult to target a call to a specific contact at a preset time.
The Appointments Module addresses this limitation allowing calls to be sent a preset time, either by voice call, SMS or email. Recurring reminders can be set according to customisable rules.
Version 2.10 also brings SMS support as standard to Newfies-Dialer, providing a simple-to-use interface to send out large text message campaigns to your contacts, including text replacement so that messages can be personalized with data from the Contact Details and a new survey facility to send an SMS to a contact as part of a voice campaign.
There has been a redesign of the web interface, making Newfies-Dialer more responsive, providing an optimal viewing experience across a wide range of devices. The API’s have been rewritten, for almost every function available on the web Interface, there is a corresponding API allowing developers to easily integrate Newfies-Dialer with their applications. Additionally the installation routine has been improved using the Bower package manager (http://bower.io/).
Newfies-Dialer is supplied with comprehensive documentation (http://docs.newfies-dialer.org/) and installation scripts, but for those unfamiliar with Linux, we offer commercial installation, training, support and development services.
